Health and Social Care

Social care workers and health care support staff provide vital assistance to service users and their families, to medical and nursing services and to social work services. The Apprenticeship framework is available to a wide range of job titles e.g. care workers, care assistants, home care workers, domiciliary care works, health care workers, health care assistants and support workers.

The Level 2 Framework involves workers assisting individuals with care needs across a range of settings e.g. residential care homes, supported living projects, day care establishments and service users’ own homes. The Level 3 Framework requires apprentices to take responsibility and exercise autonomy and judgement within limited parameters. Modules covered include:
